Multilingual Web Platform
A Japanese, English, and Chinese academic content platform designed to organize articles, institutional information, contributor profiles, topics, and other educational content within a clear and scalable website structure.
Overview
The project required more than translating individual pages. It needed a consistent information structure, navigation system, content hierarchy, and interface that could support three languages without making the website difficult to manage or use.
I participated from the initial planning stage through website architecture, visual and interface design, responsive development, multilingual implementation, client explanation, revisions, testing, and final delivery.
The Challenge
The website needed to present articles, topics, institutional information, contributor details, and related content without creating confusing navigation or duplicated structures.
Japanese, English, and Chinese pages needed to remain visually and structurally consistent while allowing each language to use appropriate labels, text lengths, and content presentation.
The platform had to support future content additions, article growth, new contributors, and category expansion without requiring the entire website structure to be rebuilt.
My Responsibilities
My contribution covered both the visible interface and the underlying organization of content and multilingual navigation.
Organized the initial website structure, primary sections, page hierarchy, content relationships, and user navigation paths.
Created layouts and components that remained usable across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices while maintaining visual consistency.
Developed the language structure, navigation, labels, page relationships, and language-switching behavior for Japanese, English, and Chinese.
Built structures for article lists, article details, topics, categories, tags, and search so users could discover related content.
Explained the website structure and interface, collected feedback, implemented revisions, and verified the final behavior before delivery.
Solution
Information Architecture
Main sections, article pages, topic pages, contributor information, categories, and tags were organized within a consistent hierarchy.
Multilingual UX
Language switching and navigation behavior were planned so visitors could move between corresponding Japanese, English, and Chinese content.
Responsive Interface
Page structures, menus, cards, text blocks, and content lists were adjusted for desktop, tablet, and mobile viewing.
Content Discovery
Search and classification functions helped users find articles and related content without depending only on the main navigation.
